LexisNexis File & Serve is a secure online service for filing and serving legal documents. The service duplicates in electronic format the process of filing paper documents. More and more Colorado courts are requiring mandatory e-filing. LexisNexis® File & Serve is the e-filing service provider for the State of Colorado, to electronically file documents with the courts and serve them to case parties.

For for a fee, LexisNexis File & Serve offers service which enables you to electronically exchange service-only documents (such as discovery) with other law firms. LexisNexis will serve those who aren’t registered File & Serve users via U.S. Mail. If you choose this premium service, additional fees will apply, and you can serve all of the attorneys you want to in one simple transaction—LexisNexis File & Serve gives law firms more control over the delivery, management and cost of both service deliveries and filings. From the Resource Center page, and then under Rules & Procedures, you will find helpful guides to rules, requirements, instructions and pricing for each e-filing and e-service jurisdiction. To access this information, select Colorado as your state and court (from the drop-down menu). Then you can select from many different categories of information.
