Several resources exist for persons in need of legal representation.  Pro Bono Assistance is available to qualified persons for a low or reduced fee.  Find-A-Lawyer is a resource for those who can afford to retain private counsel.  Pro Se Resources are also included for parties who wish to represent themselves.  Please visit the provided links for detailed program descriptions and for contact information.

Pro Bono Assistance

Pro Bono assistance is available to parties who cannot afford an attorney and is offered at free or reduced rates for qualified clients.  Please read through the program descriptions and follow the provided link for additional assistance.

ColoradoLegalServices.org is a guide to free civil legal services for low-income persons and seniors in Colorado.  Here you can locate information on all of the free legal aid programs in Colorado, including basic eligibility and contact information. We also have links to related sites on the web and legal education documents that give you basic information on a number of legal problems. 

 

Appellate Pro Bono Program - The Appellate Pro Bono (free) Program of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) is a pilot  program that provides pro bono attorneys to represent indigent pro se litigants in civil cases pending before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. The program was approved by the CBA’s Executive Council, the CBA’s Litigation Council, the Appellate Practice Subcommittee, the Governing Board of Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL), the Colorado Court of Appeals, and the Colorado Supreme Court.

Pro Se (Do-It-Yourself) Resources

Pro Se legal clinics are available throughout Colorado for Colorado residents who prefer to represent themselves.  Pro Se legal clinics are available for a variety of legal issues from Bankruptcy to Family law and most materials are in Spanish or have translators available at the clinic.

Colorado Legal Services

There are many free and or otherwise very low-cost legal clinics available in Denver and throughout Colorado for Colorado residents. Some of the clinics offer one-on-one attention, others are more lecture or group oriented. Many are available in Spanish, or otherwise have translators available at the clinic.
