Attorney Attitudes: Comparing Legal Practice To Professional Athletes

As a competitive athlete growing up, I had to learn to play by the rules, be a good sport, lose with grace, be disciplined, be a team player, and win with dignity. Social Networking: An Ethical Minefield—Thursday, May 23
As licensed professionals, it is critical to be mindful of responsibilities in interactions with others, including those that occur electronically or via social media. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn. There may be dangers for lawyers who may be unaware of the interaction between the use of social media and their responsibilities under the Rules of Professional Conduct. What is the ADA? Who is covered as a person with a disability? What is a reasonable accommodation? What are a person's rights if they believe their employer has violated the ADA? 8th Annual Attorney’s Night Out—Thursday, June 27
Join the DBA YLD as they celebrate The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and Older People's protection of the rights of people with disabilities and older people in Colorado since 1976. DBA YLD Members—Get Involved with Legal NightsDenver Legal Night is an open house where volunteer attorneys provide free legal and referral information to people who cannot afford legal services. Areas of law addressed commonly include Immigration, Family, Criminal, Housing, Consumer and bankruptcy, and Employment.

Come one come all! We are inviting our members to meet with Attorneys from Bulgaria who are visiting to learn more about our justice system.
