If you are interested in having your firm participate as a drop-off center, please email Carlos Migoya. The drive will begin with a kickoff party at Katie Mullens at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, which is being held in conjunction with DBA YLD’s Barristers After Hours, and will run through the month of March.

Will then discuss identifying early signs and symptoms of substance abuse and mental health issues in order to seek help sooner rather than later. Will discuss how and where to seek help for the judge, lawyer or law student dealing with whatever is impacting their ability to be a productive member of the legal community. SPOTLIGHT ON SERVICE
The State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division (“SBG YLD”) annually implements its public service project entitled "Department of Family and Children's Services Program." The SBG YLD’s Community Service Projects Committee implemented this project initially in 2011, and throughout that inaugural year partnered with Fulton County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services to provide extracurricular activities for foster children in an effort to expose those children to positive role models in the community. Some of the extracurricular activities included a trip to a Thrashers hockey game, a Hawks basketball game and the Georgia Aquarium. Each event paired one child with at least one volunteer, affording each child individual, undivided attention. At least twelve (12) children participated in each of the project’s events.
