Daniel Christopher:

Mr. Christopher is currently General Counsel for ClearChoice Management Services Company, a position he has held since 2005.  In that role, he handles all regulatory issue, EEOC claims, state Board auctions, regulatory rule making process, HIPAA, and wage and hour issues among.  Prior to this position, he was a trial attorney at Kennedy & Christopher, P.C.  Mr. Christopher also has experience in criminal prosecution, administrative hearings before state and county agencies, and has worked on civil trials in State and Federal Courts.  He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he obtained his undergraduate degree in 1969, he obtained an MBA from Idaho State University in 1970, and his JD from University of Denver School of Law in 1974. 


Kandace Gerdes:

            Ms. Gerdes is currently the Senior Deputy District Attorney in the Second Judicial District for the City and County of Denver.  She has served as a Deputy District Attorney since 2005.  She is currently assigned to the Economic Crimes Unit where her emphasis is on business and complex economic matters.  Ms. Gerdes has also worked with the Colorado Department of Revenue Denver Police Department in the development, investigation, and litigation of cases for both departments.  Prior to her work at the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Gerdes was an associate with Joseph H. Thibodeau, P.C., where she practiced civil law with an emphasis on local, state, and federal taxation issues.  Ms. Gerdes received her undergraduate and law degrees from Creighton University in 1989 and 1990 respectively.  Additionally, she also received an LLM in Taxation from the University of Denver in 1991.


Elizabeth Starrs

            Ms. Starrs is currently partner at Starrs Mihm LLP, a position she has held since 2003.  Her present law practice consists of extensive commercial and complex civil litigation including business torts, legal malpractice, employment, medical malpractice, and insurance bad faith.  Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Starrs worked for a number of private law firms include Cooper & Kelly, P.C. and Kennedy & Christopher, P.C.  Ms. Starrs served as President of the Colorado Bar Association from 2006-2007.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1975, and her JD from Suffolk University Law School in 1980.
