2013 Colorado Legal Directory—Deadline Extended to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1
Verification for the 2013 Colorado Legal Directory is underway. Please take the time to verify the information for your free listing in the 2013 edition of the Colorado Legal Directory, which is scheduled for release in December 2012. Verification forms were mailed to all attorneys with an active Colorado license and address. If you have not received your form, please click here for an individual attorney form and here for a firm listing form. October is Professionalism Month
The Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael Bender, with the support of the Colorado Bar Association, has declared October as Legal Professionalism Month in Colorado. John Gleason’s Coffee Talk—Tuesday, Oct. 23
As part of Professionalism Month, the DBA YLD is sponsoring Coffee Talk with John Gleason of the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, who will present on professionalism and his experiences as a special prosecutor in Maricopa County, Ariz. Assembly of Lawyers—Monday, Oct. 29
To commemorate Professionalism Month, on Monday, Oct. 29, the Colorado Supreme Court will hold an assembly of lawyers and a special session of the court to welcome newly admitted attorneys to the practice of law. Participate in the Spanish Speaking Lawyers Committee Survey
The CBA’s Spanish Speaking Lawyers Committee often fields calls for attorneys in all specialty areas; however, there is no existing database of attorneys with Spanish-speaking skills to assist with these calls. If you or your staff speaks Spanish, please complete this short survey to help identify you as an attorney with Spanish speaking resources. Email with any questions.

Online Training for the Integrated Colorado Courts E-Filing System—Register Now
Beginning Oct. 1, the Colorado State Judicial Branch will begin its transition from LexisNexis® File & Serve to ICCES with pilot programs in the 14th, 20th, 17th, and 8th Judicial Districts. The remaining districts will fully transition on Jan. 1. Take advantage of ICCES training now before ICCES begins in your district—classes available live and online. Call for Judges—Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition
The Thomas Tang Moot Court competition returns to Colorado for the second year in a row! The regional competition will be held in Denver on Saturday, Oct. 27. Judges are needed for the morning rounds, during which 10 teams will compete to advance to nationals. More than $10,000 is given in scholarships by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the competition is open to all current law students.
