2012 DBA Award Winners Announced
The DBA Awards Committee is pleased to announce the winners of its annual awards: Elsa Martinez Tenreiro will receive the Award of Merit; Erich Bethke will receive the Volunteer of the Year Award; Hon. Daniel Taubman will receive the Judicial Excellence Award; Troy Rackham will receive the Young Lawyer of the Year Award; and Elizabeth Correa will receive the Teacher of the Year Award. The awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, June 5, at the Sherman Street Event Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m. RSVP to lunches@cobar.org or 303-860-1115, ext. 727.
Fifth Annual DBA K–5 Law Day Art Contest
Do you have a child in grades K–5 who may have an interest in the law and definitely has a skill with the crayons? Then we’ve got a contest for you! The Law Day theme this year is “No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom.” This year the DBA is partnering with the Denver Art Museum, which will provide admission to the winning class in each division (K–2 and 3–5), with hosted tours and interactive activities for students. DAM will display the winning art pieces in the museum during April and May. Denver Public Schools will provide the busing and logistics. Winners will receive a gift card to Target!
