Put on your bowling shoes and come join the DBA’s Community Action Network (CAN) at Strikes for Tykes—a bowling benefit for the Children’s Outreach Project. This event will take place Saturday, Nov. 5, from 11a.m.–3p.m. at Elitch Lanes, located at 3826 Tennyson in Denver. Cost is $50 for adults and $35 for children (12 and under). Questions? Learn About the Process for Researching and Writing a Book! You are cordially invited to a Book Event Hosted by the Colorado Association of Law Librarians—Thursday, Sept. 22
Frank Gibbard and other contributing authors of Steam, Steel, and Statutes: True Tales from Colorado Legal History will talk about their chapters and in particular the research and writing process for the book. The book was a finalist in the History/Biography category for the 2011 Colorado Book Awards. From Law Week: Colorado Legal Aid Celebrates 30 Years
The Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado will celebrate 30 years of improving access to justice in Colorado on Thursday at the Carriage House of the Governor’s Mansion. The Foundation raises money for Colorado Legal Services, which provides free legal assistance to low-income Coloradans who are facing serious civil legal problems. Read more
