This conference is an intensive, full-day program that will deliver the latest information, processes, procedures and insights from the distinguished faculty, including updates from the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, issues involved with mental disability claims and the adjudicatory process. Other topics include a review of the process at the Division of Disability Determination Service, issues involved with unsuccessful work attempts and the intricacies of cases involving children. An administrative law judge will present on the ethical considerations you will face in your practice and successful strategies on how to deal with them.

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. Volunteers are needed to visit fifth grade classrooms in the Denver area on Sept. 14, 15 and 16 for approximately an hour to talk with students about this important day in U.S. history. This year, the DBA is collaborating with Liberty Day to organize the event. Visit www.libertyday.org for more information. This is the second in a series of courses related to the major river basins in Colorado. It has been designed for all professionals in the water rights arena: attorneys, engineers, expert witnesses, water resources managers and others who wish to practice in the Water Court for Water Division 5 dealing with water matters in the Colorado River Basin. This course will cover the geography and hydrology of the Basin, water administration and Water Court practices in Division 5, what every Colorado water attorney should know about the law of the River, current issues and events in the Basin, the Endangered Fish Recovery Program, the Colorado River Water Availability Study, and the Colorado River Roundtable.
