Sign up your firm now to collect donations for the DBA Community Action Network’s annual School Supply Drive, July 19–30. Backpacks filled with donated supplies will be handed out on Sunday, Aug. 8 to children in need while they enjoy a free day at the Denver Zoo. CAN hopes to fill more than 300 backpacks. *** Volunteers Needed for a Special Project to Serve Individuals with a Military Connection — No Military Law Experience Necessary
Colorado Legal Services is offering attorneys across the state an opportunity to learn more about legal issues veterans, active duty and other individuals with a military connection, when attempting to access benefits available to them as a result of service and affiliation. The commitment includes an agreement to participate live in three online trainings, as well as to provide information and referral online for a minimum of two hours per month. Two online trainings are scheduled for the upcoming Friday mornings: July 16 and 23. Please contact Kathryn Dahlke for more information and to sign up to participate!
