*** Lawline9 celebrates 18 years
This week, Lawline9 turns 18 years old and continues to be a popular community program with more than 7,500 calls received each year. Approximately 200 volunteer attorneys staff this event every Wednesday evening and on special occasions. The Denver Bar Association, 9News and the Denver Access to Justice Committee would like to thank volunteers for answering the public's legal questions. Interested in volunteering? E-mail Meghan Bush at mbush@cobar.org.

*** Pro Bono Spotlight
Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to help a client get his car title. The client purchased a car in April and lost the title before he transferred it to himself. He contacted the original owner to request a duplicate title; however, he hasn’t received any cooperation from the previous owner. He contacted the Division of Motor Vehicles to resolve the issue with no success. To assist this client, contact Patricia Trujillo at (303) 866-9307 or patt@denbar.org.

*** Friday is the last day to submit nominations for DBA Awards
The DBA Awards Committee seeks nominations for the following awards: DBA Award of Merit, DBA Volunteer Lawyer of the Year, DBA Young Lawyer of the Year and Judicial Excellence. Please submit (e-mail preferred) the name, award and summary of why that person deserves the honor, to Christine McManus, cmcmanus@cobar.org. It's okay to re-submit nominees from previous years. Nominations are due Friday, Feb. 5.
