*** Tuesdays at the Bar: Current Issues in Family Law, Sept. 15
This program will update you on the most current issues in the family law arena. Topics include recent changes to the law, cases and other changes you may need to know if you are new to this area of practice or only do a domestic case occasionally. *** Law Suit Days are here!
During Law Suit Days, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 8 and 9, the Denver Bar Association Young Lawyers Division will accept donations on the steps of the Denver City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donate gently used professional clothing, shoes and accessories to help low-income and unemployed community members dress-to-impress for job interviews. Clothing should be clean and on hangers. Donations will only be accepted at the Denver City and County Building on the dates listed above. Unfortunately, the DBA-YLD will not be able to pick-up donations and cannot accept donations on alternative dates. *** Kids Today Need to Know Their Civics
Attorney and paralegal volunteers are needed to lead court tours for
elementary and high school students at the Denver City and County
Building on Sep. 16 and Oct. 16 from 9 a.m.-noon. Help students learn about local government, jury civic responsibilities and the local
judicial system by leading a court tour. If you are even somewhat
familiar with the Denver Courthouse and can explain the basics, this
role is for you. Training materials provided and no experience
