If you believe you can't afford to employ a paralegal, or you have one but it doesn't seem to be working, the CBA Paralegal Committee is hosting a CLE program at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 5, "How to Use a Paralegal in Your Practice: Make That Practice Grow!" Immigration solo attorney David N. Simmons will lead a discussion with his four paralegals on how to grow a law practice. One general CLE credit. *** Pro bono Spotlight
Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to help a client adopt her foster child’s children. The client was given sole parental decision-making responsibility for the children by the Denver Department of Human Services in June 2006. The client receives SSI because she is disabled. She needs to adopt the children to receive assistance from Social Services for the children. If you can assist this client, contact Patricia Trujillo at (303) 866-9307 or patt@denbar.org.

*** Pro se instructors make a difference
The DBA Public Legal Education Department and the Denver Access to Justice Committee seek instructors for Family Law, Spanish Family Law, Small Claims and the Collection pro se clinics. These popular clinics are offered once a month. Volunteer attorneys advise the public how to gather information, file forms and how to defend one's position.
