*** DBA Officer Nominations Needed by Jan. 14
The DBA Nominating Committee seeks nominations for the 2009–2010 DBA leadership positions, including president-elect, first and second vice presidents, DBA Board of Trustees and CBA Board of Governors. *** Members’ Night with the Colorado Avalanche
The DBA has teamed up with the Colorado Avalanche to host bar members and their families for a great night of NHL hockey at the Pepsi Center. Discount tickets are available for the 7 p.m. game on Thursday, Jan. 8, when the Avalanche take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Tickets will sell out, so be sure to get your seats today! Order tickets online here. Ticket prices are discounted approximately 50 percent, and cost $50 for lower end loge and club level seats.

*** DBA Awards
The DBA Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the following awards: DBA Award of Merit, DBA Volunteer Lawyer of the Year, DBA Young Lawyer of the Year and Judicial Excellence. Please submit a brief statement (e-mail preferred) with the name, award and summary of why that person deserves the honor, to Christine McManus, cmcmanus@cobar.org. Nominations are due Feb. 27. *** Forty Under 40 Nominations
The Denver Business Journal is looking for nominations for its Forty Under 40 award, to be given to someone under 40 years of age, a recognized business leader and an active participant in the community. Nominees must be under the age of 40 as March 13, 2009. Click here for more details. Nomination deadline is Friday, Jan. 2.
