*** New Courtroom Assignments
Denver District Court Chief Judge Larry J. Naves recently announced the Denver District Court courtroom assignments for the upcoming year. The 2009 courtroom assignments will be effective on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Check the full listing of civil, criminal and domestic courtroom assignments online here or at under the Denver District Courts tab. Questions? Call (720) 865-8301 during business hours.

(Note: Civil, criminal and domestic relations magistrate are at the Denver City and County Building; however, the domestic relations judge courtrooms are in the Minoru Yasui Building, 303 W. Colfax. *** Bench-Bar Retreat — Plea from the Courts: Lighten Up!
Judges will speak with attorneys in a roundtable format about improving one’s quality of life as an attorney. Currently, there are more than 20 judges who are planning to attend! The event is Saturday, Sept. 27, 8:30 a.m. – noon, at the Warwick Hotel, 1776 Grant St. This breakfast program will be submitted for 4 credits, including two ethics CLE credits. *** Come watch these guys in action: a tradition
John Moye, Charles Brega and Jerry Groswold were selected to roast Judge Robert Fullerton on Oct. 15! Join us for the annual tradition of “roasting” — and toasting — one of Colorado’s finest at the 2008 Seniors Committee Roast dinner at 6 p.m., on that Wednesday at The Oxford Hotel. *** A better use for that suit in the back of the closet
During Law Suit Days, on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 16-17, the DBA Young Lawyers Division will accept donations on the steps of the Denver City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donate gently used professional clothing, shoes and accessories to help low-income and unemployed community members dress-to-impress for job interviews.
