*** Helping the community ***

~ The CBA YLD is seeking volunteer attorneys to work with kids in the Denver DA's Juvenile Diversion Program to clean up yards and graffiti on the Urban Trail (2nd and Lowell) on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (if you want to stay for lunch). Volunteers will meet at 303 W. Colfax (The Minoru Yasui Building) and then will be transported to the site. Volunteers bring their own gardening gloves; all other work supplies will be provided, plus a light breakfast and lunch. Contact Sueanna_Johnson@dmj.cc if you want to volunteer, by Thursday, Aug. 25!
~ Are you an outgoing person who wants to help troubled teens?  If so, the CBA/YLD wants you for the 2005-06 Doctor/Lawyer Program. The annual "Thank You Dinner" and training session is Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Brooklyn's downtown.  Cocktails at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., and the program is at 6 p.m.

Please join Mayor Hickenlooper, city council members, and members of the community, to review Denver's priorities for the 2006 budget and consider Denver's future. A brief presentation by city staff will be followed by interactive breakout sessions.
