*** A great way for legal professionals to help children in the Denver community!
Volunteers are needed on Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for the DBA Community Action Network Annual School Supply Drive. The Annual School Supply Drive is going on until July 29, and benefits Denver Public Schools and the Children's Outreach Program. Supplies will be handed out to students on Aug. 7, 1-5 p.m. and volunteers are needed to help distribute them. For more information, or to volunteer, email Kari Brandt at
kbrandt@cobar.org or call (303) 824-5340. There is more info at www.denbar.org.

*** Thumbs Up? Thumbs Down?  You make the call on the new legal drama The Law Firm on NBC
NBC's The Law Firm is premiering this Thursday, July 28 at 8 p.m. This eight-episode drama series features real lawyers competing against each other while trying real court cases with real clients in front of real judges and juries, resulting in outcomes that are final, legal and binding for the parties. Is that real enough for you?  The DBA wants to know if it's worth watching; can the public, or legal community learn anything from it?  We're accepting reviews from the first show; the critics with the best-written reviews will have their brilliant opinions published on the DBA website and also win gift certificates to Barnes and Noble. *** Looking for a fun way to contribute to some great causes?
Join the CBA YLD for the 3rd Annual Beer Tasting Fundraiser on Aug. 2 at the ESPN Zone at 16th & Lawrence, in Denver. This is the perfect opportunity to relax, meet lawyers and other professionals in the community, and most important, to sample beers from the area's finest breweries! There will be music, food, a great silent auction, and Broncos Cheerleaders! This event is $25 and benefits two very worthy nonprofit groups: Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Socially Conscious Coffee. Contact Kerri (KJ) Atencio at
kjatencio@hollandhart.com for more details, or RSVP to Ingrid Heiser, iheiser@cobar.org or go to our website:
