*** Legal Volunteers Needed Oct. 7
The Colorado Lawyers Committee and the Colorado Chapter of Association of Corporate Counsel’s Pro Bono Committee are seeking volunteers to assist with the Project Homeless Connect. Volunteer lawyers, law students and paralegals are needed to provide assistance and information regarding available legal resources on Saturday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at 1200 Federal Blvd. A minimum two-hour commitment is requested. All programs are at the DBA, third floor, at noon. Cost includes lunch and typically one CLE credit. (Coffee Talk is a morning program on the 9th floor, and includes a continental breakfast for $5.)

Did you know that when you share documents electronically you can transmit the history of the document? It can include the author, the directory path, dates it was edited and even can include text you deleted, but still is included (unseen) in the electronic version! Find out how to best prepare your documents and transmit only the information you want.

*** Oct. 10: The Most Important Things to Remember When Drafting Real Property Easements
The program will cover the importance of understanding the parties' intentions, the purpose of the easement, the rights to be created and more!

*** Oct. 17: Legal Aspects of Doing Business in Mexico
Do you or your clients want to conduct business in Mexico? Learn the fundamentals of Mexican business law, contracts, employment law, tax considerations and more!
One general credit requested.

*** Oct. 24: Critical Collaborative Skills
Learn about the critical skills needed when working with the collaborative process, which focuses on meeting the needs of both parties and problem solving without litigation.
One general credit requested.

*** Wednesday, Oct. 25: DBA YLD Coffee Talk — The Ethics of Rainmaking and Marketing for Young Lawyers
Learn the most ethical ways to gain more clients, including how to deal with referrals, the correct way to prospect, and the proper way to advertise following the Colorado Professional Rules of Conduct. Questions are encouraged in this interactive format.
Join colleagues from 8 to 9 a.m. at 1900 Grant St., on the 9th floor. The cost is only $5 for DBA members and $15 for non-members. Continental breakfast is included. RSVP by sending a check to DBA Coffee Talk. One ethics CLE credit requested.
