*** Colorado Paralegal Day Reception
In recognition of the outstanding work and significant contributions of paralegals to the legal profession and the people of Colorado, the Paralegal Committee is hosting the second annual Colorado Paralegal Day Reception at the DBA offices on Thursday, May 4, at 5:30 p.m. This free cocktail reception is open to anyone who would like to celebrate the paralegal profession. RSVP required.

Make reservations for these programs by sending a check for $15, payable to the Denver Bar Association, to: Tuesdays at the Bar, DBA, 1900 Grant St., Ste. 900, Denver, CO 80203. All programs are at the DBA, third floor, at noon. Cost includes lunch and typically one CLE credit. (Coffee Talk is a morning program on the 9th floor, and includes a continental breakfast for $5.)

Lisa Curtis, director of consumer services for the Denver District Attorney, will offer tips and strategies to keep you and your clients protected. No credit requested.

*** May 16: English 101 for Lawyers
This lesson in persuasive writing with Elizabeth Weishaupl will get you on the track toward eloquence. One general credit has been requested.

*** May 23: Electronic Discovery
One ethics credit has been requested.

*** May 30: How to Deal with Difficult Clients
One general credit has been requested.

*** Wednesday, May 24: DBA YLD Coffee Talk — What They Didn’t Teach You in Law School: What all new attorneys should know
The program will include the “Top Five Things That I Wish I Knew Then,” as told by seasoned attorneys, plus other tips to help newer attorneys maneuver their way through the legal profession. Join colleagues from 8 to 9 a.m. at 1900 Grant St., Ste. 900. The cost is only $5 for DBA members and $15 for non-members. Continental breakfast included. RSVP by sending a check to DBA Coffee Talk. One general credit has been requested.
