*** Plane to Casablanca is in Final Boarding Phase
The 18th Annual Barristers Benefit Ball, “Here’s Looking at You,” is April 29 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center. It’s the 40th Anniversary of Metro Volunteer Lawyers, and proceeds benefit MVL. In honor of the anniversary, MVL’s founders, Jerry Conover, Bill DeMoulin, Garth Grissom and Howard Rosenberg will be honored, along with attorneys Adam DeVoe, Scott Ellis and Elizabeth Thomas, for their current work with MVL. Don’t miss this event, complete with casino, wine-themed silent auction, dinner and dancing. Sign up and learn more about the Barristers Benefit Ball

*** Batter Up!
The DBA Lawyer's Softball League — the most relaxed league west of the Pecos — is back. Games begin June 3 and run through Aug. 5. No experience necessary: The league is coed, there are no umpires, and balls and strikes are not called. The idea is to get out of the office and enjoy the beautiful Colorado summers. Games are Saturdays at 11 a.m. at Cramner (Sundial) Park, in central Denver. Fees are based on the number of teams in the league. If you are interested, contact Jack Tanner by May 15 at jtanner@fwlaw.com or (303) 894-4495.

*** CLE’s Business Document Drafting Series — Business Acquisition and Related Documents
This CBA–CLE half-day program introduces you to the principal documentation used in business acquisitions. In addition to learning how to ask the right questions in order to properly structure the deal, you also will learn the importance of confidentiality agreements, letters of intent and how to tailor a due diligence checklist. Finally, you will learn how to draft the principal provisions in an acquisition agreement and what to look for when reviewing the document. Register online: Drafting Business Acquisition and Related Documents, April 26, 2006.

*** Sign Up By Friday For a Chance To Win a Foursome at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club!
