*** Teach Kids about the Constitution
National Constitution Day is less than a week away! Denver Public Schools needs volunteers to go into classrooms during the day on Monday, Sept. 17. No experience necessary; lesson plans available. *** Sam Cary Bar Gala
The Sam Cary Bar Association annual gala will be Oct. 20, 5:30 p.m., at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, 4900 S. Syracuse St. The theme is "Women Leading Change," and Wilma Webb will receive a lifetime community service award. Gov. Bill Ritter, Rep. Mark Udall, and Channel 7's Bertha Lynn will preside over the event. Enjoy music by Jazz Del Barrio and entertainment from the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. *** Ethics and Professionalism Program
The Colorado Women's Bar Association program, "Ethics and Professionalism: Revised Rules and Entertaining Vignettes," will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, 4-6 p.m., at Hall & Evans, 1125 17th St., Suite 600, in Denver. Learn about substantive changes to the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct with speakers Nancy Cohen, Chief Deputy Regulation Counsel, and attorney Erin C. Asborno. *** DU Alumni Symposium
The University of Denver is inviting all alumni to the inaugural Alumni Symposium Weekend, Oct. 5-6. Return to campus for this new event that exemplifies DU's rich academic tradition. DU alumni can attend sessions on a variety of topics presented by professors from the university. Two distinguished graduates will be keynote speakers: Andy Taylor, chairman and CEO of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Bob Perito, senior program officer at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
