DBA Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception — Wednesday, June 29
The DBA would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the winners and their accomplishments at a special event in their honor at the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center on Wednesday, June 29. The awards ceremony will take place in the Supreme Court Courtroom from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and will be followed by a reception in the atrium. Complimentary drinks and appetizers are included. DBA and CLE Offices Closed Monday, July 4
In observance of the July 4th holiday, the DBA, CBA, and CBA-CLE offices will be closed on Monday, July 4. We wish our hard-working members an enjoyable long weekend!
Annual Seniors Golf Tournament — Thursday, July 28
This year’s tournament will be held at Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood. A box lunch will be served at noon, with golf to follow. Annual Roll Out the Barrels Food Drive — July 11-29
Sign up your office as a donation location by Friday, July 8, to continue to fight hunger and feed hope in 2016. The food drive runs from July 11-29 and benefits Metro Caring, whose mission is to provide nutritious food to hungry families and individuals while promoting self-sufficiency. This year, the need is critical — the newly opened Hunger Relief Center has vastly expanded the services Metro Caring provides.
Legislative Statutory Revision Committee Appointments
The CBA is looking for two attorneys for a bipartisan appointment to a newly created Legislative Statutory Revision Committee. The Committee was created by HB 16-1077 for the purpose of reviewing Colorado laws and judicial decisions to identify defects and anachronisms in the law; to receive, solicit, and consider proposed changes to the law recommended by the American Law Institute and any Bar Associations; and to solicit and consider suggestions from judges, legislators, lawyers, and the general public. DBA Waterman Fund
