Giving Tree at the CBA/DBA Offices
In the Bar Association meeting spaces you will see GIVING TREES for the holiday season. These trees are from a partner non-profit called READING PARTNERS. Reading Partners works with the DBA Lawyers and Schools Committee to place volunteers in classrooms to tutor students once or twice a week. The “apples” on the Giving Tree are options of financial or in-kind donations, such as books or supplies. We encourage members and staff to grab an apple and make a contribution. Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit dedicated to improving students’ reading skills. They work in Title I elementary schools to support students from low-income communities who are reading 6 months to 2.5 years below grade-level.
