The University of Denver Sturm College of Law has named its Law Stars recipients for 2011. They will be honored at a gala event on Sept. 21 at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. Receiving awards this year are: Howard Kenison, JD’72, Outstanding Alumni Award; Charles “Chuck” Goldberg, JD’64, Alumni Professionalism Award; Terrance Carroll, JD’05, Bruce B. Johnson Outstanding Young Alumni Award; and Alan Chen, Robert B. Yegge Excellence in Teaching Award.
The Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees recently elected trustee James Spaanstra to serve as chair of the board through Dec. 31, 2012.
Spaanstra, who initially was appointed to the board of trustees in 2008, is a partner in the law firm of Faegre & Benson LLP. He has been in private practice for more than 30 years.

Megyesy will advise on foreign relations, nonprofit/charitable activities, and will office in the Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest.

The American College of Bankruptcy announced Tuesday that Caroline Fuller, Director at Fairfield and Woods, P.C., was inducted as a Fellow of the College on March 18 in Washington, D.C.
