The Arthritis Foundation — Rocky Mountain Chapter, announced that Ralph Torres is the recipient of the 2008 Eleanor P. Williams Arthritis Award. The award recognizes a respected Colorado or Wyoming attorney whose career has been distinguished by the highest caliber of legal service for humanitarian contributions to the community.

Keatinge

Last month, a Legal Affairs item said, "Bob Keatinge of Burns, Figa & Will was the recipient of the 2008 Lubaroff Award." Keatinge is actually still with Holland & Hart. This award is presented annually to a lawyer for lifelong service to LLC, partnership and unincorporated entities law. The Docket apologizes for the mistake.

Water Buffalos

The Library and Information Science Program at the University of Denver Morgridge College of Education and its partners, the Westminster Law Library (WLL) and the DU Sturm College of Law, will recruit and educate 10 new law librarians, known as the Law Librarian Fellows (LLF), thanks to a grant of $999,360 from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The grant was one of 31 awards given to institutions nationwide as part of a $20.3 million initiative of the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program.
