Hit the Course

The 2007 Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, June 11, at the Fossil Trace Golf Course. The format will be a four-person Best Ball, with a modified version of the Peoria scoring system. Registration and lunch will begin at 11 a.m., and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The cost per player is $115, which includes lunch, cart, greens fees and range balls. For more information, see page 8.

Family-Friendly Softball League

Summer is just around the corner, marking the return of the most family-friendly softball league west of the Pecos. Games are co-ed, often with preteen and teenage children playing. The league is quite relaxed — there are no umpires, and balls and strikes are not called — as the objective is to enjoy the beautiful Colorado summer. Games start in June; sign up today! For more information, contact Jack Tanner at (303) 894-4495 or jtanner@fwlaw.com.

We Need You!

Do you think today’s students don’t know enough about the Constitution and our system of democracy? Would you like to see your child’s school get involved? Here’s your chance to do something about it. The DBA Democracy Education Committee needs volunteers for Constitution Day to help out for an hour or two at a Denver Public School the week of Sept. 17. A training session will be scheduled in August. If you are interested, contact Meghan Seck at mseck@cobar.org or (303) 824-5303.

Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, June 6, 4–6:30 p.m., to answer questions about real estate, homeowners associations, landlord-tenant issues and foreclosures for Law Line 9. This volunteer opportunity will be at the 9News studios, 500 Speer Blvd. in Denver. If interested, contact Meghan Seck at mseck@cobar.org or (303) 824-5303.
