DBA Award Nominations

We need your help! It’s time to nominate deserving recipients for the annual DBA Awards, given out at the Annual Party in June.

The DBA is looking for nominees for the Award of Merit, Volunteer Lawyer of the Year, Young Lawyer of the Year, Judicial Excellence and the Liberty Bell Award. Board of Trustees Nominations!

The DBA Nominating Committee is accepting officer nominations for the Board of Trustees for the 2005–2006 year. The following positions will be available: President-elect, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President (under the age of 37), Trustees (3-year terms), and Representatives to the CBA Board of Governors (2-year terms). Please contact a member of the Nominating Committee to submit your nomination. Winter Festival—Jan. 22!

YLD’s Winter Festival Program is Saturday, Jan. 22, at Denver Human Services, 1200 Federal Blvd. This is a great chance to brighten the holiday season for Denver’s foster children by distributing toys and gifts to them. Legal Night at the Center

Serve the community without getting locked into an expensive, time-consuming commitment! Legal Night is the third Tuesday of each month, 5:30–8 p.m. Come provide legal guidance in the areas of family, landlord-tenant, immigration, employment, and housing law. Desserts and Delights Auction

The DBA Community Action Network’s (CAN) Third Annual Desserts and Delights Auction raised more than $5,000 to benefit Work Options for Women (WOW), a nonprofit organization that provides training to low-income women in the food service industry.

Approximately 200 guests enjoyed samplings of delectable desserts and complimentary wine. Prizes included certificates for cooking classes, Aspen retreats, life-coaching, golf, massage and yoga classes, as well as door prize tickets to the movies and Comedy Works. Entertainment was provided by EMR Records artist Cullen Gravit.
