DBA–CLE for December

Killer Cross-Examination is Dec. 8. Tuition is $179 for Litigation Section members; $209 for DBA members; $249 for non-members. Six general CLE credits. Learn how to dominate a courtroom on cross-examination, from dynamic experts Larry Pozner and Roger Dodd.

The Mile High Association of Legal Support Staff (MHALSS) meets the third Monday of every month at Park Place Auditorium, 1st and Washington. The Jan. 17 meeting features Peggy Montaño, who will present a CLE on water law. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and the one-hour presentation begins at 7 p.m. Cost is free for members; $15 for non-members, and includes dinner and a CLE certificate. APABA Food Baskets

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) is accepting donations for its annual holiday food basket program. They hope to raise at least $1,600 by Dec. 11 for low-income and underprivileged Asian families. $40 will feed an entire family—donations of all sizes are welcome. Get Hobbs’ Autograph!

In time for the holidays, there will be a book signing at the Tattered Cover in Cherry Creek for Justice Hobbs’ new book, In Praise of Fair Colorado: The Practice of Poetry, History, and Judging, on Friday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Justice Hobbs has assigned all of his royalties from the book to the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado.
