Winter Festival!

YLD’s Winter Festival Program is Saturday, Jan. 22, at Denver Human Services, 1200 Federal Blvd. This is a great chance to brighten the holiday season for Denver’s foster children by distributing toys and gifts to them. Legal Night at the Center

This is your chance to serve the community without getting locked into an expensive, time-consuming commitment. Legal Night is the third Tuesday of each month, 5:30–8 p.m. Come provide legal guidance in the areas of family, landlord-tenant, immigration, employment, and housing law. Transitions Program

“Managing Your Retirement Funds: Distributions and Taxes” is the topic of the CBA’s Transitions Committee meeting on Dec. 13, in the large CLE classroom, 3rd floor, 1900 Grant St., noon–1:30 p.m. Speaker is Jeffrey Schaefer. Legal Aid Foundation Wine Tasting

The Legal Aid Foundation’s Wine and Beer Tasting and Silent Auction on Oct. 21 was a great success. The nearly 300 people who attended helped raise over $17,000. The net proceeds will provide much-needed funding for the work of Colorado Legal Services in providing legal assistance to low-income people in Colorado.
