Community Concerns

Aren't you tired of billing hour after hour? Do something else at one of these community involvement opportunities. The Lincoln Park Scholars Tutoring Program is starting. Pens, pencils, markers, crayons, erasers, glue, scissors, rulers, notebooks, paper, early writer tablets, spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, protractors and calculators are needed for the school supply drive, in conjunction with Channel 7 and Providers Resource Clearing House beginning on Aug. 7 for grades K-12 . . If you've ever wanted to get on a non-profit organization's board, here's your chance. Metro Volunteers Inc. (not the pro bono outfit) will help you get on board. John Castellano and Lt. Governor Joe Rogers draw the winner's name at the Celebration of Excellence, a high school graduation ceremony for adopted and foster children. The grand prize was a computer, donated by the Arapahoe County Bar Association.
