Nov. 7 ~ 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Maggiano’s Little Italy

For $5, dine on the fine food at Maggiano’s Little Italy (in the Pavilions area on the 16th Street Mall) and enjoy cocktails with your colleagues and friends at the DBA Fall Soirée.

The party is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the programs and perks that the DBA offers you as a member. More important, the DBA will honor its cherished volunteers.

This event is sponsored by the DBA Board of Trustees, Membership Department and the YLD.

DBA YLD Newsletter

Does YLD have your e-mail? The DBA YLD is now sending out a monthly electronic newsletter to all DBA YLD members. If you are not getting it, we don’t have your e-mail in our membership database! Please send current information to Tessa Crowley at tcrowley@cobar.org and stay connected!

Online CBA Attorney Member Directory

Have you checked your listing yet? It’s a new service from the Colorado Bar Association that makes it easy for your colleagues and the public to look you up.

Just go to www.cobar.org/directory to review the information included and to make any updates. This new directory will list only members of the Colorado Bar Association—another benefit of membership. Your listing can include contact information, a Web site address if you have one, and your practice areas. When someone is looking for an attorney in your area of law, they can quickly find it.

The new directory will be available to the public on Dec. 1. If you have any questions about the directory, please e-mail membership@cobar.org. You can also call (303) 860-1115 or (800) 332-6736 and ask to speak with someone in the membership department.

Senior Holiday Party, Dec. 12

’Tis the season to celebrate the holidays and meet up with friends whom you haven’t seen for a while. If you’re 65 or better, join your DBA colleagues for a warm meal, good stories and holiday cheer. This year’s Senior Holiday Party is Dec. 12 at noon at the DBA offices, 1900 Grant St., Ste. 900. The cost is $12. Call Molly Osberg to R.S.V.P. at (303) 824-5347.

Christmas in January

It’s time to plan for Christmas in January, a DBA YLD annual event that provides holiday gifts and a party to Denver area foster children 12 years old and under. This holiday festivity will be held Jan. 26, 2002, and the YLD needs your help. Donations and volunteers are needed to prepare for this fun day for over 400 foster children. Help your client get that tax write-off in before the end of the year or start the new year off with a bang by donating their clearance items, over-stocked inventory or slow-moving merchandise! Ask your client to bake the extra couple dozen cookies, donate left-over holiday candy, or send over a specially-baked cake! Committee meetings will be held the second Monday of each month at the DBA offices, 1900 Grant St., Ste. 900, at 6 p.m. Please join us for the second meeting on Monday, Nov. 12. To volunteer or get more information, contact Nora Nye at (303) 355-6504 or e-mail noranye@interfold.com.
